Dr. Brittany Haskins
Dr. Brittany Haskins is originally from further north, growing up in Massachusetts and attending Brown University for her bachelor’s degree. While in college in the city, she still managed to work with animals by training fruit bats to fly through obstacle courses for flight mechanics research. She then continued her education at Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, where she was especially involved in animal welfare research and community veterinary outreach. After graduation, she moved down to Virginia to begin her career as a veterinarian. She now lives in Catlett with her husband, three dogs and two cats (and she hopes to add some rats to the mix shortly).
