Mitch Mills, D.V.M.
Dr. Mills grew up in semi-rural, area of Maryland, on a small hobby farm, which included horses, cats, dogs and a variety of other animal species.
Helping to take care of his animals, specifically the horses, was what first piqued his interest in veterinary medicine. From a young age, he grew up riding horses and showing in 4-H, while also participating in other 4-H clubs. In addition, he played many sports including lacrosse, baseball, golf and soccer. He remained active in 4-H, as an adult volunteer, and have a passion for teaching today’s youth.
He attended Frostburg State University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry. He then attend Virginia- Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine where he obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. While in veterinary school he gained a strong interest in the food animal species. His large animal interests include food animal and equine reproduction, as well as equine podiatry work.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing and boating.
