Compassion Animal Hospital provides veterinary care for dogs, cats, and pocket pets. Through our sister hospital, Catlett Animal Hospital, large animal calls are available as well!

Our goal is to provide excellent care to our patients and excellent service to our clients.  On-site digital radiography, in house laboratory testing, ultrasound, and surgical lasers assist us in performing high-quality diagnostic and surgical procedures. House calls are another important part of our practice – we care that you and your pets have access to comfortable veterinary care and are happy to make house calls when possible for vaccinations, basic bloodwork, and euthanasia. We offer this service for current clients and patients within a 10 mile radius of the clinic.

March is Lyme Disease Month!

Lyme disease is carried by ticks, and Virginia is one of the leading states in Lyme disease diagnoses in dogs per year. Did you know ticks don’t die in the winter like other insects? They burrow in the leaves and forest floor waiting for temperatures above 35 degrees. In our area last year alone, there were fewer than 5 days the temperature stayed below 35 for the entire day. Two options exist for the prevention of Lyme disease in dogs- Lyme vaccination and monthly flea/tick prevention.

Bella Meyers’ Transformation Story!

Bella Meyers first came to Compassion Animal Hospital due to a severe skin allergy that was causing her to lose hair to the point she had no hair from the neck down.
